In consultation with the community of heirs and their representative, Professor Frido Mann, the Thomas Mann Archives and external pageS.Fischer Verlag are publishing Thomas Mann’s original documents via Thomas Mann Archive Online before the copyright expires. The online resources now contain documents relating to Mann’s novel "The holy sinner" (1951) and his late stories (such as "The black swan").
The database Thomas Mann Archive Online contains valuable treasures, including manuscripts and press articles, which provide a comprehensive insight into the life and work of Thomas Mann.
Indexing and publication
An overview of the currently available documents can be found on the website of the Thomas Mann Archive. In the upcoming years, more digitised resources from the personal papers of Thomas Mann will be uploaded alongside the metadata for all of the personal papers, which are already available online.
